Isaac Arthur on youtube.

Thanks to a link to one of his YouTube videos on another forum I have now spent hours watching his YouTube channel.

He does videos about real world science, real world science applied to science fiction and goes a step further into 'what' if territory from time to time.

Each video is 20-35 minutes long but be warned, you could lose quite a few hours once you are hooked on them.

I won't provide a direct link just incase it is against board rules, but stick Isaac Arthur into the YouTube search box and you will be good to go.

[m;]Non-comercial links are allowed, as long as it is clear where they link to[/m;]

Please, reread rule 7 about what is allwed, and then judge by yourself

He's not an engineer though. So most of his topics are just for the syfy crowd. Issac Asimov at least mentioned what engineering would be needed to make his ideas real.

He also served in a mainline combat unit in the US Army (I forget how long), though in a non-engineering capacity. He states that it's given him no insight into how future wars will be fought.
