Attention Competing shipyards:
We require a small fleet of custom high-speed ships to secure high-value
documents and goods. Privacy and access to information are the greatest tools,
and must be reflected in the nature of the vessel. This competition is open to
all commercial shipyards*, and upon approval, construction must begin
immediately. Successful applicants will meet the following criteria:

* OAC

**** Required Features: ****
GTL10 technology (TL12)
VGSL hull between 100dT and 800dT inclusive (Lifting Body, Psi-shielded)
LCD skin (for logos, identification, PR)
No less than J-3 capacity, and 3G fully loaded
Onboard fuel processing (max 6h to refine tank, less is better)
Adequate Crew facilities, plus 1 VIP
Secure storage for (at least) 10dT of valuables
Extra internal security is a must.

**** Recommended Features: ****
Armour
Enhanced Sensors (PESA/Radscanner)
Exterior imitation of known models
Pop-turrets
Stealth/Cloaking/Chameleon

Auxiliary systems (including (but not limited to) an extra smaller cockpit and
extra smaller engineering module for emergencies)
No more than 2% volume in "smuggler's hold" (greater than that gives bonuses to
searches)
Use of "psi-shielded brig" as a safe (both DR200)

The final supplicant *must* meet all of the "required" specifications, and as
many of the latter as possible.

The entries are due Friday, March 14th, by 23:59 Central, (by my PC). As one of
my professors said, "Better to finish early, double-check, and send it in the
day before. You will get "0%" on the paper if it's timestamped 12:01 on my
clock." (Don't worry, I won't be quite that strict, I'll close it the next time
I'm awake after that time that I open my email.)

Sixteen days should be good enough? Do the qualifications sound fair? I quickly
threw together a test ship with most of the "options" and it fell well within
the "required" parameters.

As I under stand it the JTAS computer deleates mesages older that a certain age (60 days?). :( Resently TPTB have converted JTAS so that it would be compatable with NNTP and that caused some problems but they seem to be all worked out now.
