Judges Guild published a number of adventures and supplements for CT, such as sector maps and guides, adventures, and other material. Do you use any of these books in your CT games? Why or why not?

I've never played CT nor owned a Judges Guild product, but maybe this topic would work well as a poll question? Heck, you could broaden it to all now non-canon supplements and adventures.

Confession mode: I have nearly been seduced by the sheer cheapness of the JG and Fasa traveller products and would love some insight into their use-value.

I don't use any JG products; I never liked their production values nor did I care for the rather erratic tone of their writers.

Cal Lad: I have almost all of the FASA products and they are almost uniformly of good quality and well worth the trouble to find.

The production values may have been low, but some of the materials were on par content wise.

The sectors, when compared with Sup 3, were on par or better than, aside from the paper and the map itself; the maps showed routes, borders and locations only. That there was a four sector block, 2x2, and it was only partially imperial, and partly K'Kree... I only wish there were more on the Danin (of the Man-Danin Codominion); they seem to be a knock of of the Chk'stha of A tour of the Galaxy, but there isn't enough there to be certain.

The Traveller Logbook was awesome for CT campaigns. Mine's been sliced and diced, but ever useful.

I don't know about the adventures; I never got them.

eBay, private wheeling & dealing (once I won something on eBay), Deja.com and an individual who runs Sovereign Games who a surplus of items.

A thread about FASA and other CT products would be interesting, but could we please keep this discussion to Judges Guild materials?

I received my CT reprints yesterday (!) and my Ley and Glimmerdrift Reaches sector maps are due early next week.

I liked JG's products for Dungeons and Dragons back in the day - I found the flavor of their gaming supplements and adventures to be quirky in a good way, and I'm hoping that the Traveller supplements are similar.

I also ordered the Fifty Starbases supplement - if it's anywhere near as useful as it sounds, I'm sure it will be a worthwhile investment.
