Seems that Rudyad Kipling has quite a following amongst this list - and rightly so!
Question, have any of you tried adapting his stories as an adventure? If so which ones?
For myself I did do one adventure based on 'The man who would be king" where a member of the party is mistaken by TL2 society for a reincaration of their diety (actually that wasn't entirely what the original Kipling story was about but it did cut to the main point of the story). Needless to say it did rather end in tears.....
I also did "The Old Men at Pevensey" from 'Puck of Pook's Hill' and have used on the quote "Write to any man that all is betrayed and even the Pope himself will ssleep uneasy" on more than one occation an in different campaign settings to good effect.
Anyone tried any other Kipling peices and if so, which ones?
Also, anyone tried any of the Rider Haggard stuff particularly the Hunter Quartermain stuff?
Yes, I know that none of this stuff is PC, but it was what I was brought up reading.
