1) Failure of the Second Imperium Central Bank to recognize a currency issuance of the Antares Bank Branch, leading to the eventual Collapse of the Rule of Man and the beginning of the Long Night;

2) Establishment of the Third Imperium by Cleon I by reorganizing the Sylean Federation, ending the Long Night;

3) Discovery of a crashed Solomani vessel by the Aslan on Kusyu, allowing them to reverse-engineer a Jump-Drive prototype during the Long Night.

The establishment of the Ziru Sirka. There wouldn't have been a 2nd and 3rd Imperium as we know them if it wasn't for the existence of the Grand Empire of the Stars. The history of humaniti is partly driven by that event.
