Lazarus question

I'm planning on porting HGS from delphi to lazarus. Does anyone know if there are any obvious pitfalls I should avoid?

ETA: also could I possibly ask for some volunteers to help port it to linux, mac, android and maybe CE once I get it all working?

Haven't looked at Delphi or Pascal in many years, so can't say much about Lazarus...

Do develop on Windows and Mac (10.6), so might be able to help out.
