Looking for Machii Scout Cruiser

Some time ago I came across a deckplan "B Deck" of the Machii Class Scout Cruiser, showing some damage to the fuel tank and backup jump drive. I'm looking for more information on this ship. Did it appear in an adventure? Are stats someplace on the web? Are there any more deckplans?

Thanks for your help.

Google is your (possibly privacy denying) friend:
http://e23.sjgames.com/media/CSRT0030_preview.pdf

and apparently a Mongoose adventure: http://paizo.com/campaigns/MongooseTraveller/gameplay&page=5 (have to scroll down a bit)

apparently a 1248 thing (sorry, just reading them as they come along): https://plus.google.com/109545927566258114273/posts/NtrL7kmiKYR

finally :) http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Machii+Scout+Cruiser

(last is the let me Google that for you...always a fun link to get as, well, anyone could actually do the search).

So I've never heard of it prior to now, hence the search. Sorry its not of any real help, although I think with a bit of digging the 1st link indicates e23 (Steve Jackson Games) has a source book with it in there.

Was in Comstar/Avenger's "1248 Starships 2 - Scout Ships".

Not the sexiest of deckplans.

That Paizo link is to a forum RPG that is using a Telemon Survey Cruiser, the 1248 equivalent of the Donosev, from the same book the Machii was in.

I didn't like the Machii as much as it's predecessor the Quasar. The Quasar was more sleek & streamlined looking. Looked like it took some elements from Crusher Joe's Minerva.
The Machii looked like a trowel. And it's design took away some advantages of the Quasar. finding them useless? Didn't the Machii go up in tech level as well? So it should have been able to keep those, along with adding more room for others. That and the design did forget to add important airlocks & such.

Keep in mind that the Quasar/Qasar is a Solomani Rim War era design, while the Machii is a New Era post-Dominate War design. 250 years, a complete collapse of civilization, and some significant changes in ship automation (due to Virus) sit between them, TL increase or not.

Well not a complete collapse though. Seeing as in the cannon the Marches became the Regency. Keeping their tech and even going up a level?

That is just the Regency though. The rest of Charted Space was wrecked pretty thoroughly, and even the Regency changed their automation practices in response to Virus.

Also, it may be a mistake to assume that the same ships are in use across the entire Imperium. There are four different Type As in official print. Even if the Hero/Beowulf has been around for thousands of years, most other designs won't have that pedigree.

Sounds like some of you have seen it. Can someone throw deck A up on the image library?

As far as deck plans go, if it's in a GDW/FFE source, posting the deck plans in a format to support PBP is fine.

If it's anyone else's, you'd need at least to redraw them; Scans will be infracted unless the admins have gotten a notice otherwise from the copyright holder.

Gah!

I would consider doing a re-draw, but both the Qasar and the Machii are presented such that I would be forced to start from scratch. The Machii at least tries to follow its artwork. The Qasar isn't even close.

Before I embark on such a project, what edition are you playing? The original stats for the Machii are CT HG. I'll need to derive a new tonnage breakdown and would rather it was for an edition useful to you.

You can get a copy of the the 'Machii" in the "Spinward Salvage" adventure from Comstar Games/Avenger. It's available pretty cheaply on Drive Thru RPG. It includes deck plans, stats, and good picture as well and has the same for the 400dTon Telemon class Survey Scout as well.

Sorry :-(

I use MegaTraveller rules. I also use all my CT materials. I have a few T20 books and have used several of the art/designs and rebuilt them using MT rules.

Thanks! Picked it up tonight.

MegaTraveller, eh? Been a while since I worked up one of those, but not a problem. MT does use a different set of fuel equations, though.
