Looking for Vict...er Volunteers

There are at least three worlds in Gateway that are on the list but not on the pdfs.

In subsector C, Iosanillia 2202/0602 is not on the sctor pdf or the subsector pdf.

In subsector L, Goldstar 2725/0305 and Azuris 2727/0307 appear on the sector pdf but not on the subsector pdf.

I did not find anything else missing from the subsector pdfs but I have not done a careful comparison with the sector pdf so it's possible others could be missing from the sector map.

Hunter, do you want me to go over the sector map and see if any other systems are missing from it?

I don't think there are any sector data files out there that currently match what we have. Our Glimmerdrift and Ley UWPs are based on the Atlas of the Imperium, but modified to reflect the 993 era. Gateway sector is based on the data from MTJ4 and similarly updated. Crucis I believe is somewhat based on the original JG data but also modified.

We plan to make Gateway available as a PDF here shortly before the print version comes out. The initial release will be a minimally formated PDF for those who want it now. Those who do purchase this version will also receive a copy of the final formated PDF when it is finished.

Hunter
Thanks for the Infos... Now if I could just fix my Temporal Displacement Device and get that PDF sooner...

Evening Sandman,

First off thank-you for being a tester on the Computer Design Sequence material and the comments you supplied. Well, I didn't actually see Hunter's comment either here or in the email with the document for the sector. As soon as I saw his email I began work on the project. About 2 hours later I actually read Hunter's email completely and about 5 hours before checking back here. But, yes I am happy that my work might be helpful to others and actually be available for all. No jumping up and down with glee though, not enough room without knocking something over.

Again thanks for your assistance.

NP...

And thanks for helping me with my UWP decoder... I'm now thinkering with a system generator that's usable with OpenOffice/Excel... using the T20 rules.

Your welcome and cool, as I said here I've still not learned to Never Again Volunteer Yourself (Navy). So if you need a vict...ah volunteer you've got my email. However, be aware that the squirrel running my hard drive is trying to renegotiate for a larger storage space for nuts;)

I've seen several people mention the UWP's that are listed on the site for Gateway. I can't find them, though. Am I just blind?

Lo Sandman,

Well, I never said I was an accomplished reader now have I? I thought the poster was looking for maps. Oh, well I guess my glasses won't help then. The only UWPs I know about were those sent to the vict.., uhm, volunteers helping Hunter out.

i have down loaded all the UWP's from hear and have loaded them in to Gal24, they are also saved as TXT files i'm converting them to H&E (Heaven & Earth) files but they arnt much good as i dont have stellar data for the systems (i'm hoping this will be in the Gateway book with a lot of other stuff (ME NOW WANT no im not impatient)so if i'm not breaking copy write or other law leave your email adresses hear and i will send them to you (no i dont have a site).
All the UWP's will do i wet your appitites for the book.

Hi Brook!

Whilst not Hunter, this would help me a lot.

When I made the maps I went over them to look for missing systems, but some obviously dropped through the net. Fresh eyes from yourself, and the other three guys would probably notice more of them, so if you guys feel up to oging through the map in this manner, I would be very greatful!

Shane

Hi Shane,

I didn't come across any missing systemss. The only errors I found were (as posted to Hunter):

0108 Spelt as Ashkiimir on the star map, but Askiimir in Leyuwp.doc.
Changed spelling to match the map.

1210 Dukh, the sector capital, has no bases listed in Leyuwp.doc. The star
map shows Naval and Scout Base present. Added code 'B' to the document.
Under 'Codes', there is a listing of 'A'? Left this in unchanged... but
should it be 'Ag'?

0318 Ithukar - Star maps have a Base Code of P for prison camp, and one is
shown for Ithukar. You haven't included a code of P in Leyuwp.doc. Add
one, for consistency?

0624 Longstop on the star map, LonGTCop in Leyuwp.doc. Changed spelling to
match the map.

Anton

Thanks Anton, this sort of info is great! I'm updating the maps for Hunter this week, so it comes at a very useful time.

Hunter, if you can confirmt he errors and let me know what to correct I can sort the maps.

Thanks again!

Well, if the Ancient Ones agrees... I'll wait for their jugement first...

Hunter, if you need any help proofreading (my EDU is 18) or with any other matters, let me know. I'm happy to help with volunteer work, and I do actually have a d20 publishing credit (The Goblin Fair, Airweaver Games). On the down side, I'm a bit weak on canon.

Bah, that's not the biggest problem I have right now

I can wait a bit... anyway, I can make up my own for some time...
