Military Decorations

Medals for Valour are an on-again, off-again feature of Traveller.
Generally, they are applicable only to Imperial service. Army, Navy and Marines services only. If you are in the Planetary Navy you still get Imperial medals...ditto if you serve for a non-imperial power.
Nothing for Scouts or Agents. (Except T5)
Medal rates also vary considerably between versions where they are used. T5 gives them away like confetti!
MgT2 doesn't have even events that can get you medals (per MgT1 medal rules) in some careers!

Wound badges are also on-again, off-again as the versions change

In MgT2 Entertainers can gain prizes...the equivalent of Oscars, Pulitzers, etc. Similarly, scholars can also gain prizes...the equivalent of Laskers, Nobels, etc.

SOC yields Honours (non-hereditary ones given the way they accumulate). They gain various benefits per T5, but little outside that.

There was one medal I'm aware of that did have an official Alaska clasp...
Service in Alaska was a campaign clasp on the immediiatly pre-WW II era American Defense Service Medal.
The medal is authorized to military members who served on active duty between President Roosevelt's declaration of a limited national emergency on September 8, 1939, and the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

I don't think you're quite THAT old... ;)
Nope, missed that by quite a few years.
