Miniatures

Dream Pod 9 has a collection of Military and Civilian Modular Cardstock Buildings . Look for Paper Terranovan Scenery under Wargaming Game Aids. They also have Metal Textures for Scenery. You can use those patterns for printing patterned cardstock to use as raw material for props. You'll find that in the same section.

Some Call of Cthulhu figures (Ral Partha?)
The current batch are RAFM, I think Grendier did some back in the day. If you use some of those you may find the following two manufactures worth a look:

Copplestone Casting A little pricey but ex-Foundry scuplptor figs for still less than Foundry prices.

Pulp Figures done by the main sculptor for most of the Call of Cthulhu Rafm figs.

<snip way cool stuff on conversion/painting> I'm in the black primer/acrylic drybrush camp myself but always enjoy hearing how people paint their figs and any tips they have.

Casey (hopes to get back in the mood for painting figs soon)

I've got a fair few 25mm figures (I guess about 200, of which about 120 are painted). These were accumulated for Traveller and a homebrew sci-fi game. Roughly, the figures came from these sources:
</font>
  • Denizen (25mm sci-fi)</font>
  • RAFM Aliens franchise (mostly the alien figures - decent sci-fi monsters are quite hard to come by)</font>
  • Some TNE-vintage Aslan (can't remember the manufacturer)</font>
  • Grenadier Cyberpunk (solos pack, from memory)</font>
  • Grenadier shadowrun</font>
  • Ral Partha shadowrun</font>
  • Some fantasy figures - pirate/swashbuckler types and a couple of not-too D&D-ish monsters</font>
  • Vampire hunters and some vampires (probably Ral Partha, from the cha-cha-cha poses)</font>
  • Some Call of Cthulhu figures (Ral Partha?)</font>
  • EM4 miniatures</font>
  • Starship troopers (can't remember the manufacturer)</font>
  • Ground Zero rednecks, other odds and sods</font>
  • Grenadier star wars</font>
  • Probably several others</font>

Aliens,Marines from Aliens, Predators, and a line of armed androids are available from Frei Korps 15 & Platoon 20 :

And old Ral Partha Battletroops and old Grenadier (was it?) Traveller figures. They're all roughly the same scale, give or take.

But GZG now does quite a few fifteens (15mm). They just released another three of four packs today (I track that list).

If you're interested to see what GZG's infantry combat game is like (or some add ons, etc), visit

We don't get updates as fast as we should, but life has been hectic of late. I've got Traveller conversions somewhere for SG2 (two sets, my own and another fellows - both taking different conversion tacks, he the port, I the starboard). Haven't got them up yet but if there was interest, I could throw them up.

Small world... I think I saw another GZG lister around...

EM4 miniatures

In case anyone was interested. Coppelstone does some nice figs. And I-Kore has figs which are okay.

Here's one you REALLY NEED
True 25mm Zhodani! Just get the Ventaurians with HELMETS ON. (The others have Yoda heads) - They *must* have been modelled on Zho Combat Armour.
And they go great with GZG UNSC which are (though
no one would admit it) Imperial Marine Battle Dress

Ventaurians and Mid Techs (Zhos Cbt Armr/Bat Drss and Aliens Marines Respectively)

GZG online store (note the Mercs, the UN Marines (aka Imperial Marines), and Hammer's Slammers - though most of the lines are worth a look see)

I've dealt with both companies and had no complaints. If you order from GZG, tell 'em that
Tom from stargrunt.ca sent you (no, I don't get
a kickback... just want them to know I'm justifying the prize support for the cons *grin*

DLD Productions

Check out the Civet, Raven, and Bengal especially,
though for your lower tech forces the Badger and
the Kamodos are great. When I say DLD puts out
the finest resins, I'm not kidding. They matched
the best armourcast ever did for quality and for
detail they kick their arse (esp if you buy some
of the extra detailing goodies). These are fairly
complex (ie model like) kits, unlike GZG's vehicles (The SG25 vehicles are pretty slick,
like the Wombat APC, the Gladiator tank, and
quite a few others) which are usually two to five
bits which are poured in (still good, look fine
painted, but not really in the league with the DLD stuff - David works doing SFX stuff for the movies or something like that as a day job and it shows in what he does for DLD).

So if you need some vehicles, check out GZG and
DLD.

Though apparently his high level of Liaison,
Carousing, and Diplomacy skills have led to a
small change of billeting within the unit... ;)

(In MT, we call that 'critical failure on an
interpersonal task').

If you guys want some kick ass sci-fi hallways, walls, & scenery, check out:

Ainsty Casting

Look especially at the "Tech Tunnel" and "Starport 36" ranges. I just finished painting about $200 worth of this stuff and it rocks! If you've seen the Dwarven Forge dungeon sets, the quality is comparable.

Once I get it all clearcoated and ready for use I'll snap some pics for you guys.

Oh, and Mike & Pat Brooks at Ainsty are a joy to do business with. If you're in the US orders are fulfilled in 4-5 weeks (they're in the UK). In fact, I just ordered another $220 worth of their stuff that should be here any day now! :D
