MGT Only: Missile Launcher Capacity

Hello All, I'm sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

In MgT I know missiles are carried 12 to a ton, But what about the launchers or bays? Do they have any capacity? The Torpedo bays have a capacity or do they need a magazine too?

1 Battery Round - in other words, what's on the rails. Note that MGT missiles and torpedoes are considerably larger than CT's - over a cubic meter each.

Turrets carry up to 3 missile per missile launcher inside of the turret.

CT said a triple missile turret carried three in the pipes and two reloads in the turret, for a total on 9. These did not take up any additional storage space. Reloads had to be humped (or fed) beyond that from storage.

Other versions of Trav don't mention this at all. Up to you how you want to run it. But with all the space a bay weapon takes up, I'd say it should have decent on-mount ammunition storage.

Interesting designs. It seems very much like how handguns have fast loaders to quickly load all six chambers.

Not sure if that would work any better than standard auto-loaders or not. There's pro's and con's to each. But it's certainly a very cool idea.

as presented it would have several logistical and combat and damage control advantages. munitions could be certified and packed at the manufacturing facility and thereafter it would be a simple matter of handling the packaging rather than handling the munitions directly. it would speed loading and unloading of munitions and would prevent tampering or damage to any particular munition. as to use, it would allow selection and loading of specific munitions such as nuke, anti-armor, anti-personnel, etc, as needed at any individual launch. also if the missile launch bay is hit then the individual packaging would limit damage to the weapons.
