I'm considering having the medic take care of some cloned corpses to fake the deaths of several people who are scheduled to officially die in a staged firefight.

In a shadowrun [yes I know it's not traveller] book the use of a cloned body was caught by the fact the a cloned body has a blank brain...a live person by contrast has lots of neural connections and that difference was what the law enforcing corporation used to catch the living dead man.
