While looking up After Earth on IMDB to add to the Wiki, I also found Elysium (released later this summer), Terra Nova (Colonize new world series from a year ago, which I've never seen), Outcasts (Colonize world series, never seen), Earth 2 (older colonize world tv series), Falling Skies (alien invasion series, still ongoing).

To add some animation, Treasure Planet and Wall-E.

Now if we could just put the list in alphabetical order so I know I'm not making duplicate suggestions...

Not a movie, but a TV show out on DVD, "Starhunter". I found it a while ago in the bargain bin at Target. Produced in 2000, a joint Canadian/French/British/German(!) production, about a crew of misfits on a crappy old spaceship roaming the solar system as skip tracers/bounty hunters. One episode in particular made me cry "Traveller!" After constantly having to back down because their ship was unarmed, they finally bought and installed a second hand particle cannon. Some thugs in a smaller ship threatened them, and our heroes fired on them, disabling the bad guys. The captain crowed, "I love this gun!" Unfortunately, due to the makeshift nature of the mount, the gun cut out after that single shot, leaving them facing a pissed off foe sans weapons. :devil:
