For some silly reason I've been dancing around my thousandth post.

But here it is, I should get the little 1K badge ---->

Almost 12 years. I don't even know what brought me here 12 years ago.

Now I can go back to curmudgeoning space combat and fleet operations from my comfy Admirals Armchair with impunity.

You believe wrongly.
The 1000 badge is done the next time the board updates the statuses (which it does about 6 times a day, sometimes more if highly active) after making your 1000 th post.

The Soc 14 is 1001st, but again, doesn't update until the board updates the statuses.
