What new product would you like to see? Assume that it was compatible with your ruleset and setting of choice, of course.

You know, on this sort of poll, there has to be a way to set it so you can make more than one selection.

As it stands, I chose the one that Traveller hasn't had since CT, and the one I have missed the most: Single world adventures.

I voted for "Other".

T5 is a tool kit, right? Then show us how to use it's many tools.

I don't care if the product is an OTU or ATU setting, campaign, or adventure, a planetary survey, a ship book, or anything else. Pick some topic and then use T5's tools in a transparent manner to create whatever parts the product requires.

Here's World X in System Y and here's how they were generated...
Here's Bad Guy Z's pirate ship and here's how it was built...
Here's Duke A's personal bazooka and here's how it built...
Here's Minor Race B and how they were generated...
Here's World X, System Y, Z's ships, A's bazooka, and Minor Race B and here's how they're used in an adventure...

Show us how to use T5's tools.

I voted world surveys. the imperium is its planets, and each planet should have it's own system, it's own history, it's own major figures and corporations and religions and legal system and police forces and eco-systems and animals and weather and culture ... or they should. but most of them are blank slates. traveller is decades old now, the major worlds at least should have entire books devoted to them. what is mora? what is trin? what is jewell? what is vilis? what is collace? geez, look at pagaton, a jewel ripe for explication.

(if you do pagaton I get dibs - I already have a setting there).

I voted for "Ground forces manual for the Imperium (or other)".

I'd like to see a tool kit for building units and armies that would fit in the OTU or ATUs. I'd like it to work a bit like a cross between GT:Ground Forces system for detailing armies and a T5 Maker

It should highlight the Doctrine of Imperial military forces (and notes on the Major Races) and allow the user to develop their own doctrine and tactics to suit other forces.

It doesn't have to have stats on weapons or vehicles, something like the Ironmongery section of CT Striker would be more useful. Include a simple operational level set of wargame rules to allow Invasion Earth style games using Brigades, Divisions, Corps and Armies.

Here's one way to get some of that:

I think that sounds like a fun supplement.

Yes, potentially a very fun supplement.

I struggled over that. The reason I finally chose not to do that, is because otherwise I'd check every one.

Be careful what you wish for...

Hey, Minor Race B you say? We've got a writeup in Imperiallines No. 6 on the Amindii, showing how they are created. Then there's a Contact! article on them.

If you do actually want dibs, then shoot me an email.

LOL!

Well we do have the Lorenverse...

Not what I want.

I want a coherent setting designed from the ground up without the inconsistencies, conflicts and contradictions between eras/ruleset editions etc.

Hence the reboot. Fix T5 and use that, or stick with the MgT OTU, but flatten what has gone before. Keep the setting, keep the history, but declare all previous canon as outdated and write some books about the different eras.

How will T5 handle the TNE or 1248 eras for example - they have to be flattened and re-written.

Perhaps this is atypical, but I've always liked the Traveller universe above all for the background material. Stuff that perpetuates the setting is the most interesting to me. My preference is not to see most individual worlds fleshed out beyond their UWP and a paragraph or two -- though I'm not averse to a few per sector being presented in great detail.

It's simple really, Here in 1107 there is only one OTU, although I heard someone published a bunch of fanfic about a virus or some other nonsense. ;)

T5 has already established the eras of Imperial 'history':
CT and MgT are set in the 1105+ golden era
Rebellion followed by Hard Times - detailed by MT but the MT technology paradigm is different to CT, MgT, T5
TNE as an era followed by 1248 - TNE had a different technology paradigm to everything else
1900 - Galaxiad if it is ever detailed

And CT and MGT have different tech paradigms from each other.

Hell, CT pre-80 and post 80 have different tech assumptions.

I have come to agree with your point of view.

For Example: When the Deneb Sector book came out, I was exhausted by the sheer number of worlds sketched -- and sketched briefly. In fact, too briefly for me to have an interest in. They may as well have just been left out, and fewer worlds concentrated on, drilled down into a bit. Pick the worlds that have connections to neighboring worlds, that can lead to other worlds. I'm kind of bored with two-paragraph writeups.

I'd like to see more support for Zho characters (primarily during the Golden Era). A ship book (like CT Fighting Ships), a similar book for vehicles, a similar book for weapons, something to flesh out various Zho organisations, a number of adventures, and several world write-ups.

Ditto for the Vargr.

Ditto for the Aslan.

Ditto for the Solomani.

etc.

The various Alien Modules have been good introductions but there should be more.
