I just voted PBEM (PbP actually).
Most of my gaming is currently on Rpol.
Pros: the site has most of what I need to run a game. The main thing missing is the ability to post and share files on-site. If you want to show everyone a document you have to post it on a hosting site and post a link. Except for 'maps' if you have a jpeg, you can show several of these at any one time.
Cons: None. Well, actually there are a couple. IMO the Mods have a policy of blanket ruling that makes everyone walk on eggshells, and PbPs in general are not wonderful at representing combat. You couldn't run MegaTraveller effectively on PbP, it'd simply take too long to complete a combat. By the time you've waited a day or three for each person to post, and you have maybe a dozen actions per turn, you'd take weeks to cover a few seconds of combat. To run PbP effectively you need a fast and simple ruleset - and I'm still looking...
PbP lends itself best to semi-freeform games that revolve around the characters taking decisive actions rather than combat actions. You have to relegate combat to 'occasional use only' - but Traveller is suited to that style of play, with its 'deadly' combat.
