After 20 years of playing AD&D as a pc or dm its time for a change.
when you have most things memorized or at least know where to find the answers this is not a problem. But now its new and its always hard to learn something different.

So what do you do to help keep track of all the information and charts you need for traveller.

thanks

I have to say that I have a laptop that I use for this. It contains all the notes, pc/npc sheets, ships, contacts, etc... that I use during the game. I use it as one of the main computers at home too, but primary push behind getting it was me running a traveller game.

I used two old record album covers to make myself a referee's screen with all the combat charts, encounter tables (ground and space) and pockets to insert the animal encounter tables for the planet in question.

I always try to keep data Standardized in presentation, using as many of the supplied sheets as possible, that and having a "DM Log" Style quick reference of the PCs is also very helpful. Cheapie 3-ring Binders with clear plastic covers are also a bonus, and make very good holders for presenting maps and Graphics, in addition to being excellent screens unto themselves.
