Problems in this new format

I can't seem to find any mention of this in the latest threads, but I was away for several months and seem to have lots of problems posting to threads now. 1) Many posts are double entrys. 2) My signature has extra puncation marks in it. 3) Sometimes after I hit the submit button, I get dumped into "never never land" and forced to re-load my web brouser.

As a side note, when I first got back on the site, it reported my last visit as decades before Al Bore invented the world wide web.

While I am at it, does anyone know where I have to go to order th Traveller CD?

In a nutshell you are hitting legacies from the change in forum software and databases. For more detail:

Artifact of importing from one Forum software to another. Just give a post if you spot any duplicates so we can clean em up.

2) My signature has extra puncation marks in it.

New system doesn't allow HTML (though you can use BB Code), and part of the security of the import was to 'slash' out possibly unsafe code. You can go into your profile and clean up your sig.

3) Sometimes after I hit the submit button, I get dumped into "never never land" and forced to re-load my web brouser.

Haven't had that happen though the current server is not handling things well. I'm getting a new server ready at the moment.

The import from the other software database couldn't parse the last visit date, so it will display that as your last visit until the next time you log in.
