My name is magmagmag. I’m a bridge engineer with PE and PhD.
I’m writing from Tokyo, Japan. Our city is now 24:33.
I’m sorry my English is not good.

I have tow questions and need some help.

Q1 Jump Trace
Ship "A" did space jump in sensor range of ship “B”.
Can Ship “B” know a destination of ship “A”.
There are no communications between Ship “A# to Ship “B”.

Q2 Convoy
23 merchant ships and 10 close escorts belong to Convoy “C”.
Convoy “C” did space jump at same time to same destination system.
Do the ships arrive at same time from jump space?

Q1: Yes. It must be scanning as the ship enters jump. (I can't get to my Regency Sourcebook to check the exact TNE task)

Q2: If they coordinated their jump, they exit within 2 hours of each other; if they did not, then they are spread out using the normal rolls over 32 hours. (consolidated MT errata; derived from the Q&A in the MegaTraveller Journals).

Thnk you for your quick response

Is there any Megatraveller or other material explain above answer?
In Japan, TNE is not major.

Only Classec Traveller and Megatraveller are published in Japanese version.

Thank you very much, Mr.S4 and sir Aramis.

>The Starship Operator's Manual, published by DGP, covers it.

Thank you very much, Mr.S4 and sir Aramis.
This book is not translated in Japan.
I'll get it on Amazon.

Good luck... it's been out of print for more than 12 years!

It tends to sell around $75 on E-Bay. Publisher was Digest Group Productions, and while it is canon for MegaTraveller, it is not from the same publisher. (It is, however, the same team that wrote MegaTraveller for GDW...)

Wanting to learn more about the book I did a quick search and found one on amazon for 69 dollars. Not bad Aramis. I found another in a used book store for 10 dollars and it is enroute to casa del Trav.;)

The Starship Operators Manual is possibly the best book ever published for Traveller, especially the stories from the old timer.
