Robot vs. Tank

Can anybody assist please?
In my game we have a combat between a Bruiser bot and a grav tank.
We are however unsure of how to proceed as the armour design systems seem vastly different.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I would use starship combat and use the damage from the non-starship table, it is the quickest and easiest solution, imo.

Morning Mphtails30,

What design system does the Bruiser bot use?

CT: Book 8 Robots maybe of some help.

what is a Bruiser Bot? a Robot intended for battle or serious security? use battledress...If it is a minimal security robot, use cloth (maybe with a modifier to hit if you want a slightly tougher bot). For the Tank, use battledress with a small modifier (unless it is a "light" tank, then use battledress)

for HP, come up with 2 numbers like animals have; hp to damage, hp to destroy. when damaged, it moves at half speed and has -2 to hit (or something like that).

perhaps;

Light Security Bot cloth 20/30 hp
Bruiser Bot battledress 50/100 hp
Light Tank battledress 100/200 hp
Med Tank battledress -2 300/500 hp

The bruiser bot appeared in CT 101 Robots. A Hiver built Warbo which can carry up to 6(I think) baby bots which are quite heavily armed in their own right. These bots can be used for almost anything combat oriented up to and. Including planetary interdiction(in groups). Very nasty piece of hardware.

Is the 101 Robots published by BITS?

If 100 Robots is by BITS then you might want to ask off on the site which is found at http://www.bitsuk.net/

I recall that there is information on making modifications to the standard design sequence for Hivers and the other major sophonts in Traveller. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to recall or find the source document or documents.

Hopefully, I'll dig the information up and pass what I find along.
