What one was the 4th supposed to be - all we see is the photobucket "page not found" image.
They're very nice, are those your renderings?
just to clarify, is that SMG using the same 7mm ETC rounds as the carbine and rifle? if not, you might want to make that clear, as at the moment it looks like all three share a common calibre (which raises the question of why you need both a carbine and a SMG)

I love the images (especially the layout on the cards that makes it a useful handout).
I suspect that a silencer will require sub-sonic ammo to be of any benefit and standard 7mm ammo at TL 11 is probably high velocity. So the silencer will require special (low damage) ammo to be effective ... [or - handwave - they worked out another solution for sonic booms by TL 11]
I agree with you absolutely, however as we found out in Bosnia MP5SD6 Subsonic rounds sometimes cannot penetrate winter clothing at certain ranges.
I don't think even at Tech 11 they can bend the laws acoustics.
Here is the rough LMG weapon (team/squad level)
I'm not an expert in weapons (to say the least), but it's not too short for a LMG?
When compared with the hand hold (and so with the expected size of the hand). it only mesures (from the magazine, and so I guess the firing mechanism, to the end of the barrel) only about 5-6 hands (so about 60-75 cm).

Dang, something warped in me just loves a good challenge ...
First, let's make the SMG just a little more different than the carbine. I suggest chopping off the butt stock and cap it just behind the ammo feed ... shoot it like a MAC-10 or Uzi (without the stock).
I think that you are correct about supersonic ammo being needed for reliable penetration. I remember reading about some guy who developed an airfoil shape that had two strange properties:
1. It swallowed its own sonic boom.
2. It generated ZERO lift.
These features combined make it nothing more than an aeronautical curiosity ... a wing that creates no sonic boom is useful, unless it also generates no lift.
But what about a 7mm TL 11 bullet for a silencer?
The basic shape of the bullet is a hollow cylinder with parallel outer walls and airfoil shaped inner walls. The sonic shock wave is reflected between the inner walls and trapped inside the cylinder which prevents formation. [... SEARCH ... FOUND IT ... Busemann's Biplane]
Then I am coming in with a cheap TL 9 knock-off SMG that fires 7mm Pistol Ammo (like a SMG should) to steal market share for the shipboard/urban market right out from under you. :devil:7mm (rifle round) you are going to need the buttstock.. or there will be a wide arc... with that 'room broom'. No gangsta shooting my creation.

. . . I used the fan created Book 10 (Ordinance and Armory) . . .
Is that available (legally) for download or purchase somewhere?
