Are you tired of a D20-based advancement system that only rewards combat? Are you looking for an advancement system that promotes roleplaying, player and character involvement, story development and teamwork? Do you wish there was an easy and fun way to award experience without bogging down in long calculations or having to use a spreadsheet to figure it all out? If you've answered "Yes" to any of the above, then the OGL Alternatives: Alternate Advancement System was designed to meet your needs.

OGL Alternatives: Alternate Advancement System provides Gamemasters (GMs) with an alternate method for calculating advancement that is both easy and fun to use. Designed with flexibility in mind, AAS gives the individual GM the means to reward only those aspects of the gaming session that he wishes to emphasize, and thus only those aspects provide a character with advancement towards their next character level. In addition to specifics on the core mechanics of the Alternate Advancement System, this product also provides details on how to convert from a standard experience-based game to an AAS-based game, how to convert Session Points into Experience Points and vice versa, notes on individual awards versus group awards, notes on using the system without giving up the traditional experience table, and even includes a lengthy example of the advancement system in use. OGL Alternatives: Alternate Advancement System is a complete roleplaying product by Samardan Press designed to offer discerning Gamemasters a powerful tool in bringing the fun back to character advancement.

Though geared towards D20-based gaming systems, OGL Alternatives: Alternate Advancement System is easily applicable to any level-based roleplaying game system.

Hey Flynn are you going to be offering this at rpgnow.com? I do most of my buying through them but this looks like a pretty good product.

Frank,

At the moment, I have not made enough from my small PDF product sales to be able to buy an account at RPGNow.com. I have recently sold some stuff on eBay, and that will probably pay for it. However, I have to wait until the payment comes in before I can get the RPGNow account. That could be a few weeks.

I'll let you know,
Flynn
