Seeking "Atlas of the Imperium"

Well Ron,
I didn't realise that it wasn't supposed to have those marks around the borders as i hadn't seen one before but if i'd sold it on I'm sure someone would have let me know.As you said in your message , you gave a description of the goods and didn't notice.I'd be duty bound to report the marks in my spiel if i was selling the Atlas on.Chances are, people would then set a lower bid because it wasn't in top condition. As far as i was aware when i posted feedback, the borders were part of the Atlas so i wasn't to know.Like the person who started the whole thing off noted, these Atlases are going for a good sum of money so you expect quality for what you're paying.

No offense but why hasn't this gone to PM yet? This is airing the private contents of a business deal publically and I for one could care less about whether or not a copy of a book somebody else bought has pencil marks, magic marker, or glitter pen on it. If folk have details to work it out do so privately. Keeping it public just smacks to me of whining over a book that you frelled up on.

Take it to PM please.

/me hands over a big ole rubber eraser

Bryce,

I've made what I think is a fair offer of a partial refund of $9 for 9 *pencil* marks based on your description alone of what I vaguely remember to be marks that I thought were inherent to the product. The atlas that I sold was *not* in top condition or quality, and I did not advertise it as such. If I had noticed that the markings were not part of the product, I would have mentioned them.

If you would like to discuss this matter further, let us please continue the discussion using the private messaging system or send me an email.

Ron

I shall say this and then i will shut up on the matter(I promise!).
Casey, if you've been following this exciting lead you would've noticed that it did start out as a discussion about availability and cost of Atlas of the Imperium. It was only a passing comment about 'marks' that led to the digression about a deal involving one of these Atlases.
I do still feel it's relevent as the thread was discussing how much these things go for.
As this is a discussion board about Traveller items and the selling of them,it was fairly relevent.
Granted , the talk of deals and compensation did go off on one but there are plenty more threads on this bulletin board that you could've gone off and read rather than putting your two pence worth in here.
Ron...it's a lesson to me in the future to be a little more careful.I apologise if i offended you in anyway.Don't worry about the money.
Cheers
Bryce

Besides the dot maps, what other material, if any, is in the Atlas? It's been 20 years since I've seen a copy and I can't remember. . .

Yor memory is pretty good, it's dot maps and nothing else - correction, there is a blank sactor map ;) , all of the sectors of the Imperium on the inside front cover (reused many times in MT) and all of the high pop world are named...

Always nice to know that you can remember something.

Well there is minimal information on the worlds - that which can be identified via the map symbols.
