Designed jointly by Bilstein Yards of Glisten and the Baraccai Technum, the Leviathan class was developed from previous designs and is primarily intended for independent cruising in undeveloped trade areas; high survivability is also a design factor. The vessels are braced, allowing skimming refueling maneuvers as well as landings in types 0 and 1 atmospheres. Atmospheric landings are otherwise impossible, hence the large complement of ship's boats.

The ship has one Torgee PL FS62-Y fusion-linked power plant driving two Gayle Field type 77X jump drives and one Bilstein Arg-6Y impulse maneuver drive, permitting a Jump-3 and 4G maneuver. It employs Ganged Forelle Field generators, with 1G floor fields, and has a Zahinyo 7.4 Model/4 computer with integral fiber optic backup.

The sensor suite is extensive, including barbette-mounted EMS and Neutrino sensors.

There are two dual barbette particle accelerators, one each dorsal and ventral. Four remote dual beam laser turrets, two each fore and aft. Four nose launch missile tubes, with drone RPV capability. Six additional hardpoints are available.

The Leviathan requires two shifts of crew, for a total of 46. The ship sleeps 36 crew and 10 squads of ship's troops: the troops man the guns. Up to 4 passengers can be carried. There are six low berths.

Carried craft includes one 95-ton shuttle, one 40-ton pinnace, two 20-ton lifeboats, in hangars, and one enclosed Air/Raft, in cargo.

I took liberties.

First, the backup drives are gone. Repair what you've got; if you have the tonnage to spare, you can fill it with engineers, drive techs, and spare parts or something.

Second, the jump torpedoes are, of course, either modified or gone. Modified, as in:

A braced hull with a 60-ton drop tank, controlled by a semi-organic ship's brain which only knows how to pilot the ship, and plot a course through jumpspace. In order to enter jumpspace and exit intact, the drop tank needs to be attached. After breakout, the tank may be dropped, for a boost in ship performance (about 1 week at 9+ Gs).
