High Altitude Drone Delivery System (HADDS)
Using a cheaper variation of the drop pod used by Imperial Marines, the HADDS system encloses a grav-assist delivery drone with full autonomous navigation capabilities. Able to contain a package of up to 100 kilograms and up to 1.6 meters x .9m x.9m, the HADDS delivery drone can deliver on target on most planetary systems. Fully compatible with standard Imperial Marine drop tubes helps lower the cost by using a standardized delivery mechanism.
The HADDS is a one time use: the drop pod casing will be discarded and is generally not reusable. The grav drone can be recovered and recharged. A size 3 or less world the grav drone has enough charge to return, empty, to orbit for recovery. Size 4-7 it has a limited amount of reserves for additional movement. Above that there is little spare charge in the fusion batteries, depending on the cargo load.
