SNAPSHOT question

kaladorn

SOC-14 1K
In looking at the Snapshot rulebook, I find a description at the back of armour. Yet at no point in the sequence of hitting or damage resolution can I see a place where this factors in (or, indeed, if it did so, to what extent - I'd expect some numerical rating for each type of armour as we see in AHL).

Some of you have obviously played with SNAPSHOT. How do you handle armour exactly?

I have to admit to liking any game that puts in an "Expletive" action.... ;)

Yes. They took the Book 1 Range and Armor DM charts and combined them into a single "Armor Type (and Range)" chart. This is a seperate bit of folded cardstock in the Snapshot game.

Indeed there is, and it's called the "Snapshot Chart." It has all armor and weapons listed on the table with all DMs at all ranges except for Extreme. I think they're essentially the same DMs found in the basic rulebook. Was there a specific weapon or armor type you needed?

Darn. At the moment I seem to have the rulebook sans any charts. Ah, Felgercarb! That's annoying.

I had just the opposite problem. When I bought a used box set at Capcon several years ago I had the charts & maps, but no rulesbook.that is not until the reprints came out. :D Very glad I've got both now.

Thank God for the Snapshot Chart --I said that in 1979 or 1980 when it first came out. I just recopied my old original one on new card stock.

When I finally get sorted with Marc and this ends up at my house, I'll have it then I guess. Probably have ACQ by about the same time.
