Something Blue

Although it's obvious, I'd suggest to BG that he toss his cookies... Ummm, that's not what I meant! :) ... erase cookies and clean out the browser cache, then restart the browser and log in again.

Jeff, that's one of those areas only obvious to information-tech-heads.

It's good advice. If that doesn't work, a clean install of Chrome should do it. Also, chrome doesn't always auto update.

It's working now, somewhat. I didn't "toss my cookies" ;) however. Part of it was that my net access was being restricted for some reason. There's another reason that's more technical in nature that doesn't deal with cookies, but it seems to be okay for the time being.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice a chicken.

Next time it’s not working, you could also try using a free web proxy and see if that makes a difference.

I once had a problem where I couldn’t access my own website from home. I could access it from anywhere else, I could access it via a free web proxy, everyone else could access it, and no other sites were affected. It made making updates problematic.

A trace suggested that it was a problem with one of the intermediate machines that the ‘signal’ was passing through between my home location and my web host ... my local ISP said that was out of their control. Six frustrating months later I stumbled across an online forum where my ISP’s technical stuff (among others) used to hang out. I posted my problem along with the trace logs. No one could think of a solution but a week later the problem disappeared.

Now I’m not saying this is what is happening in BG’s case, but it is another possibility.

Thanks Hemidan

I actually did a trace, and one of the IPs was going through the local county health network. I have no idea why, but my net access was being restricted and redirected.

The guys at Yahoo said there was something wrong with my phone line, and I've been trying to get it fixed.
