Star Atlas and Library Data for the TNE era?

Does anyone know if there's a good collection of Library data for the Rebellion up to the TNE era? And if there's a good atlas/map collection with UWP:s for the same time?

The mapping/library data I find on the web are almost exclusively for 3rd Imperium golden era (CT around year 1000). Of course I could do the work myself, but it's nice to get a free ride sometimes, and also with some coherence among GM:s...

I think the availability of the mapping information you're looking for is dodgy at best. Diaspora sector was covered in a folio by GDW and represents the Rebellion/pre-Hard times era, if I remember correctly. Other than that it's pretty hit an miss. Lots of people associated with HIWG, as well as others, fleshed out whole sectors but it doesn't mean the data is still available, or even good.

For library data, I suggest poking around http://www.downport.com/ as a start.

The BARD website has got a nice selection of TNE stuff including UWP info for the area around the RC. The zhodani base website also has links to mapping info for a large number of sectors, some of which have the TNE stats.

Cheers

The book Survival Margin: Gateway to the New Era includes a good bunch.

GDW licenced a software utility programme called "Traveller Navigator". It included several TNE sectors - Diaspora, Old Expanses, Spinward Marches, Deneb and Reft. Originally for Windows 3.1, it works fine on my XP system.

If you want me to send you a copy (It's now freeware) PM me.

Thanks...

...for your replies.

I have the printed products mentioned in the replies, but wouldn't it be neat to have an collected online source to go to?

Hmm...

...isn't Berka from Sweden? I think I've browsed through his site at some instance...I'll check it out. Thanks Star Viking

What's everyone using for starmapping programs these days? I used to swear by Jim V's gal 2.4 but it's kinda quirky on XP... Something printable would be nice, too...

Part of the joys of the New Era is that whatever what mapped could remain as great unknowns. While, an atlas is fine...TNE allows for ample space for the: "Here Be Dragons", so rather than concentrate on getting a Star Atlas pick up BITS 101 series as inspiration for the 1001 different varieties of planets, starport encounters, etc.

Hej Anders!

Part of the reason I based my TNE campaign in the Banners sector. Only an old dot map was officially produced yet it was close enough for me to use elements from the Imperium, Aslan and Solomani.
