Starships

or perhaps he was just hungry...

(I worked for a design company and the product managers made up color names - one always used food colors, such as Raspberry Ice Cream. sadly it is all now pantone colors to standardize)

This was drawn in reference to a work painted by Mr. Thomas Peters in 1988.
The original very famous painting was published in pp.45 at "STARSHIP OPERATOR'S MANUAL VOL.1".

I think the Tom's painting is one of the best artworks of the Traveller.
This painting has a wonderful overhead composition and has elements of a diorama made by TAMIYA’s plastic models. I really enjoyed the reconstruction of this painting.

This is my last shot of subsidized merchant.

Ok I really like this shot.

It gives a great feeling to the scale of the ship.

LIRIS-CLASS SHUTTLE

The Liris-class 95dt shuttle was one of new design that first brought the firm General Products to megacorporation status. It is still very widespread. It is designed to carry passengers and cargo from orbit to surface and back again, as well as act as an interplanetary transport.

This painting was drawn in reference to a work painted by William H. Keith, Jr in 1982.
The original work was published in pp.63 at The Traveller Book.

Thank you for comment.
The shuttle is big.
I always calculate the volume by combining simple shapes to create complex ship shapes.
This figure shows a volume estimate of 90 dt.
Since various parts are often added later, I give the model a margin of 5dt.
