T5

Yep, the BFBs of JTAS and the alien modules are ~$70 here, so $40 plus S&H is well within the fun money budget.

I'm "cautiously optimistic" for T5. I want it to be gooood. I want it to be a must-have. But, I've been turned off by what I've heard about it so far too. I'm going to wait to hear what others thing of it then make my final buying decision.

The low price per page count is good, but it does make me wonder: Is it priced like that because releasing pdf's is so much less expensive than publishing hard backs? Or, is it priced as a "budget item", not unlike a computer game that debuts at $19.99, typically telling all about the quality of its content.

As I said, for me. I'm waiting. I want to hear what you pre-order guys think.

For my own part, I'll decide for myself if I think it's any good, and the only way to do that is to see it, and try it out.

I might love it, even when other people hate it. No problem.

It might turn out that others think it's great, and I hate it with a passion that makes a nuclear reactor core look about as hot as a candle. It's happened before (TNE, for instance), and it'll probably happen again.

But even then I won't regret getting it, even if it's only as a part of my complete Traveller collection. Just like I don't regret getting TNE or GT, even though I'll never play either.

I suspect, though, that with a 1000 pages, there'll be at least enough in there that I can use to make it worth having.
