Glad to hear it. Feedback is welcome when you can. :cool:

Martin,

I'm responding a little early this week, as I will be out of town attending a friend's wedding this weekend. Regarding this week's progress so far on TAx: Robots of Known Space, I have accomplished the following:

</font>
  • Completed the text on robotics manufactures within and without the Imperium, robotic laws/regulations, and alien robots.</font>
My goal for this next week is to complete at least a third of the 31+ robot design specifications that will be included in the supplement. I am out of town this weekend, as well as July 23rd-July 27th for GenCon Indy, but I hope to have the entire draft ready by August 1st at the latest. (My first goal was to have it complete by July 22nd, but with GenCon prep and losing this weekend, I doubt I'll hit that deadline. I'll try, though.)

More next week,
Flynn

Regarding TA #??: Survival & Defensive Equipment, I started my summer break on Friday (dontcha just LOVE teachers!) so it's full steam ahead on the writing front :)

Target is end August, hopefully will be done before then!

Mexal.

Re: TA?: Travellers & Citizens

Expected to complete my 1st draft this weekend, did not quite happen due to time constraints (had to pull some extra hours at work over the weekend).

Busy week so will complete as soon as possible. At present there isn't enough hours in the day!

Grahame

Specialised Ships is going slowly, been trying to work on some new rules and starship components to fit my needs.

TA?: Starfall Conspiracy
Starting back up again after getting preempted by life. Back in the air this week for my paying job :( , so I should get a lot more done while waiting at Pearson and Heathrow. Looking to start playtesting in August. :cool:

Martin,

Regarding this week's progress so far on TAx: Robots of Known Space, last weekend's out-of-state wedding and this week's work stuff has interfered a lot with my work on the draft. I have accomplished the following:

</font>
  • Began robot design specifications. Only got a small handful done, though.</font>
My goal for this next week is primarily to get ready for GenCon Indy, so I probably won't be able to do more than some token work on the draft. I am out of town July 23rd-July 27th for GenCon Indy, but I hope to have the entire draft ready by August 1st. Chances are, though, considering how much work I didn't get done this week, that it might be a week thereafter. (I didn't realize how little time I'd have to do everything before GenCon. Man, how time flies!)

More next week,
Flynn

Small Trading Ships is getting igger and more finished. The last few deck plans are on the way to me. All goes well, though a little behind schedule.

The delay is my fault, I'm afraid. I've been working almost every night for the last three weeks -- 10 to 12 hour shifts -- and have been doing little except work, sleep, and eat. <sigh>

Should be back to normal by this weekend. I hope to have the last two deckplans in in the next few days.

Sorry about that, Chief.

TA?: Starfall Conspiracy. Just returned after a week on the road, with no traveller writing done.

I did, however, have a very effective brainstorming session with Shane Mclean and Peter 'Zinzan' Scarrott last night. It helped a lot with the Conspiracy/Landing City details.

This week, back to pen-to-paper.

Thanks, guys!

:D

Glad you're back safe and well, and without BA delays, Paul.

TA?: Animal Encounters hasn't progressed much since my last update. I blame that on my lil' uns 1st birthday, and winter sickness. Really, I just need to stop being so lazy!

TAx: In the Clouds, got the write ups for 8 of 9 companies, fixed the rules writeups for new drives and other options. I realized the introduction needs to be redone, which will require some serious thought. 25 vehicles to go.

Sent another deckplan draft off to Shane for TAx: Small Trading Ships today. One more to go and then I can start finalizing the deckplans.

Martin,

For this week's report on TAx: Robots of Known Space, GenCon Indy did indeed impact my ability to work on the draft (though the games were awesome), but I have gotten more work done. I have accomplished the following:

</font>
  • Continued robot design specifications. Ten down, twenty-plus to go...</font>
My goal for this next week is to complete the robot designs as quickly as I can, so that I can review the document. I hope to submit the draft for your review next weekend, August 8th-10th. If I do not achieve this goal, I will be close enough that it should only be a matter of days beyond that.

More next week,
Flynn

Will this encompass Lighter-Than-Air (LTA) craft(zeppelins, balloons, etc)?

I was going to ask if anyone has come up with any design rules for such craft, but then I found that this TA was in the works, and if it will cover the subject, great!

</font>[/QUOTE]Doh!

If I had just gone the the next page of messages, the answer was right there for me.

I really look forward to this TA, I have a soft spot for LTA craft.

TA?: Animal Encounters needs a lot more of my time. I'm looking at spending more time on it over the coming weeks.

:D
TA ?: Starfall Conspiracy - Part I

After my trip to Europe, I tweaked the plotline for the first adventure (codenamed 'Part I'). ;)

I've flowcharted/EPIC'd the plotline, identified the major/minor characters, written the Introduction and half-finished my re-write of Act I. I hope to have completed creating the characters and ships, and finished Act I by Monday.

MJD, I may have to start farming out small chunks of the work (character generation/ship design/etc) so that I can concentrate on writing.

I'll probably get the playtesting started by mid-August.
