Good luck with your situation. It reminds me of a similar one I faced decades ago. In that case the referee seemed unsure what to make of my character and seemed bent on killing him quick so I could make one more compatible to his game. But that, as they say, is another story...

Well, it's over with now. My character did die, but that's what clones are for! And luckily, I still have my soul, because we have a guy from Thieves World (who is the Captain's brother, but of course that's a long story)and he has spiritual powers and needless to say he collected our souls before we died and sent them to Dragon's Rest. (Where our clones were being completed) It's very confusing, I know and some of you might think that it's not really Classic Traveller at all, but trust me, it is. I've been player ever since I was 10. It's a early to start, but the adventures weren't nearly as hard as they are now, so I guess you could classify it as basic Traveller.
And yes Jame, you can call me T-C, that's find. And how I created my character was quite simple. I wonder, have you ever seen the show Farscape? If you haven't, there was a character on there who was a blue, plant like being who's name was Zan, if my memory serves me. Well, I formed the idea that I wanted a character like Zan. So I told the Ref about it, and we worked on an amazing character and came up with a whole other race called Traplaz. We then decided that we needed a planet to be called home to our new race and used the planet Leavani, in the Andwella Subsector, in the Vanguard Reaches. We built a whole history for it.
And if anyone has anymore questions, feel free to ask. Thanks again everyone, you all were a great help, rather you believe it or not, thanks!

I'll try to answer that as best as I can, because I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I think the best answer to give you is: dice. Basically you have ST, DX, IQ, EN, things like that. And you roll on two 6-sided dice. And that's basically it.
