No worries, the big red button is safe from me. It's the "edit" post button where I keep expecting the "quote" post button that's still tripping me up. It's just luck so far that I haven't edited (mangled) some poor user's post instead of reply quoting it. Now that's one that should be big and red for me.

Well, most people who've been there know the mods are kind of like, well...

Of course it's easy to see how they end up that way. I mean, they likely have very unpleasant personalities, maybe brought about by bullying, and, sadly, this results in a vicious cycle of abuse creating a bad attitude and a bad attitude drawing more abuse, which leads to a worse attitude, which leads to more abuse.
So they end up marginalized. dumped on, etc. Now suddenly they get power, and it goes straight to their heads at jump-7, and they go from little danny dumpedon in real life to, the moment they sit down at the keyboard, HE MAN, MAS-TER OOOFFF TTTHHE UUN-I-VERSE!
Suddenly they're little billy badass, and can abuse, mock, insult, taunt and punish people instead of being on the receiving end. Kind of sad, really.
Then again, it's not all their fault. I mean, they have their enablers, like...

A lot of the users there are pretty bad, too. I mean, it's bad enough the mods act like jabba the hutt, sitting on their thrones and hurling abuse and mockery at people while laughing at them, but a lot of the users act like that vile little creature that sat next to jabba and laughed loudly at his victims.
All in all, it's probably a good thing that traveller is rarely discussed there. It might even be a good comment on traveller fans.
