TML Status

nimrodd

SOC-1
So has anyone heard what the status of the TML is. From what I have heard there were layoffs at the listservice, including the list moderator. Haven't heard whether the entire service is down, but since it has been 5 days since any activity, I am assuming it is gone.

I had noticed that also, thought it was just me. Of course I hadn't remembered unsubscribing, but that could have just been faulty memory on my part...Glad to see my faculties remain at least somewhat intact...

I recieved this this morning from Peter Trevor

Subject: FW: TML problems
Date sent: Mon, 2 Apr 2001 15:44:13 +0100

(This isn't being forwarded to everyone as I don't have the tools
at work to grab all TML names. So appologies to everyone I've
missed and pass it on.)

Hmm, I seem to have been overlooked by the TML 'telephone tree' -- only been a member for just over 7 years, after all

! Anyway, thanks for the info. I suspected something like this was probably the case.

Uhmm, I'm sure the latest address list was circulated at last year's secret conclave and clam bake. Perhaps you forgot to update your details?

Well, the old TML is back up and running, but it will be going away permanently in about two weeks. The new TML is located at www.travellercentral.com.

A question. I subscribed to the digest version of the new TML yesterday (4/4/'01) but I still haven't gotten anything except the acknowledgement of subscription. Has the list not yet received enough emails to constitute a digest or am I having a special problem of my own?

Got the first digest about a half hour after posting this. Lousy timing on my part
