Traveller and Freemason connection???

I was wondering if Marc Miller is a Freemason or any masonic themes are borrowed for the rpg.

I'm a Mason and played the game long ago as a kid. As an adult and Mason now, I see some Masonic themes, ideas, and possible references in the game.

For example, the Traveller's Aid Society or the sun logo of the Imperium.

Any ideas?

The only Masonic connection of the principals is that Loren Wiseman's father was active in the Lodge and York Rite.

I myself am an Illinois mason, and helped Loren get information on his father from the Grand Lodge.

[In fact, on Saturday evening of this week, I will become the Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Illinois, Order of the Amaranth.]

Marc Miller, Frank Chadwick and John Harshman don't have any Masonic connections.

Hope that helps...

Thank you brother! I've wondered about that for some time.

Congrats! (I'm a lowly Steward of the Blue Lodge myself!)

I'd never noticed any strong masonic elements. At least, no more so than christian elements. Then again, I'm not a mason.

Tho I am a 4th degree in the KofC...

Hail, Sir Knight, from a Protestant Templar and Amaranth Sir Knight.

:)

In Illinois, the Grand Lodge, the Knights of Columbus and the Prince Hall Grand Lodge leadership hold regular meetings together to support fraternal activities across the state (and lobby against taxing the property of said organizations).

To many sources, the masons and the Illuminati are the same thing, or at least one is part of the other, or other such mix.:oo:

Personally, I always thought Dulinor was Illuminati, giving Navel Intelligence even more reason to leave that package under his seat.;)

TAS is patterned after the real-life Traveler's Aid Society.
Or Traveler's Aid Society of Detroit

Similar sunbursts like that used in the Imperial Logo are common in Heraldry, and have been for centuries.

Such as this one... Arms of Arosa

No need for paranoid conspiracy theories.

Need?

BlackBat since when has there ever been a need for kooky conspiracy theories? One does conspiracy theories for fun and entertainment, not out of need. Now go back to your mundane existence and let us play. :p

Sigh.... that Monty Python sketch was wrong already.

Heck, as old as most masons are, they would kill each other if that was the recognition sign.

It is just an old joke. :)

Salzburgers = Bavarians = Adam Weishaupt = Illuminati. My grandmother's great grandfather was an Austrian Jewish Banker = Rothschild (Though not a Rothschild, name was Kaschl). My family is actually Catholic gentry, however. My grandfather and great grandfather were Teutonic Knights, similar to the Knights of Columbus here in the USA.
