Traveller Dictionary:

There are a lot of terms kicking around these forums that those of us new to Traveller, as of T20, may not know, and aren't always defined clearly in the THB if they're defined at all.

It occurs to me that a great resource supplement for all versions would be a dictionary or encyclopedia that contains most of the common terms, slang, named of things, concepts, etc. that pervade this very well-established universe. People who have been playing for years, and are avid sci-fi fans, probably know what a Highport is, but newcomers may be clueless. Many of my own players frequently come to me with questions such as "What is a..." and "Where do you get a..."
And these are questions that, In game, they REALLY would know most of the time. Has anybody considered a project like this?

Wander on over to the Traveller Downport - I believe there are some library data links there that may help out somewhat. But you're correct, some sort of jargon file would probably be helpful at this point.

The Library section was moved into The Moot when it was created. You need to be a site supporter to have access to it but the price is very reasonable and you get to choose your level of support, and even at the lowest you get access to everything and the discount on QLI products.
