Traveller eBay Auctions List

Ancient - Absent Friend
I've set up an automatic page here on the website that will list up to 200 auctions for Traveller related items over at eBay. Right now this will list auctions in order of when they end, with those auctions ending soonest listed first.

Currently the list is based on the keywords "traveller rpg". If you have suggestions on other keywords or combinations, or other ideas, please post them here.

My own "favorites" search there is "traveller rpg" just like you have and it does miss a few so the alternate spelling of "traveler" might help. Of course its just as likely to pull up as many more non targeted items too.

Do you have it searching items from all countries? And how often is it updating? I see 144 listed in your search but the same search now has 166 from all countries.

I do see one possible problem with the "TravellerRPG.com eBay Auction Listings" heading on the page. Some people may think you are in some way associated with the auctions listed, or even worse and despite no such claim, endorse the listed auctions. Probably just my transference paranoia ;)

It should be updating as often as eBay. This data is through them, not on my end.

On the search keywords, I actually have a more elaborate version in the works with specific keyword links I am going to put up soon.

On the new version, it lists the search parameter rather than the "TravellerRPG.com eBay Auction Listings".

I would suggest doing the search with "(traveller, megatraveller)" and then restricting the search to either the Games catagory or the Games->Role Playing catagory.

Doing it that way will limit you to just the game Traveller or Megatraveller without all of the computer peripherals, other RPGs, items about R.E. Lee's horse, or the obscure ST:TNE character.

I would post example URLs, but the BBS won't let me.

Loren, why only the United States? We Canadians like Traveller too.

Plus, why couldn't convince Evil Stevie to put this into a Traveller game supplement as it looks amazing and should be shared on a larger basis. I could easily see it being the cover of say, Imperial Navy...

I think you read the listing wrong kafka47, I see it listed as ships pretty much anywhere. Of course we can but dream of owning it if past prices are any indication

Doh, I opened it up whilst having another window open...and bid on the wrong item which was US only...

But still, would make a great cover for Imperial Navy or better yet inside plate, don't you think Dan.

Wow, Kafka, that quickly got out of your range, didn't it? Unfortunately, out of mine, too. :( Now I wish I hadn't bought that DGP Solomani and Aslan - I might have enough left to bid on something like this.
(Of course, I would have to decide which other painting has to come down, anyway........)

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, my friend. Still hope that it might yet one day grace a page insert in a Traveller product one day. Given what we have seen with Marc's art collection, I am not surprised in the lest about the current price...it just speaks to the importance of art within a game product.

Well, that, and how good the artwork is! :D

Edit: Yowza! It's doubled since yesterday at this time! (Though it looks like that price was already figured in the bid by the current winner.) I guess saving my pennies (and sawbucks) from my Solomani & Aslan purchase wouldn't have made any difference after all... :( end edit

Sigh! I'll miss those dice. It was was like selling a child. The only thing worse was parting with my Traveller Art collection.

The only thing worse than selling those dice was selling my Traveller artwork. The last piece I put up for sale went for $44 less than I paid for it. I pulled my last remaining piece of art off ebay.

I've put my last piece of Traveller art back for auction as well as the last of my TNE/T4 books.& some patches I once planned to put a scout uniform. I hope I can make enough with a garage sale to pay down some of medical bills. I'm due for my next check in two weeks & hopefully I won't have more surgery to pay for.
