Actual play of classic traveller found at RPGMP3.
A group called Whartsan Hall Gamers ran two games, each one three sessions long. The GM doesn't seem to be a regular Traveller GM, but comes across as someone who played it years ago and it reintroducing it to a bunch of 30-40 somethings.
Firstly, its fascinating listeining to the entire chargen and intro procedure done by someone else. The first game is Chamax Plague, and obviously I knew the plot instantly, which was nice.
The GM lets his players down a bit though. Although his refereeing seems competant, on the second game he lets a female player create a character virtually identical to one already playing which wasn't a good idea. And secondly, there is only ever one thing going on at a time, and Jack Fletcher the Marine is generally solving that, while the two female players are sidetracked. In the second game they simply sit in the ship, waiting for the others to bring them spare parts then get sidetracked by zombies. You can hear their boredom and frustration. It is very frustrating to listen to! If my players split up, I create multiple 'problems', if they can't think of something to do, I throw something at them to deal with.
But overall have a listen. THey are from the North of England (my territory) so I hope you understand them OK!
