IOW is right out I guess.
I'm hoping to be in the Southampton area for a few weeks in December, so a one-off would certainly be possible.

Lisa... in order...

My plesure... assuming I come through.

Comes from needing to find a domain name, ended up compromising on Death's horse (from Pratchett) rather than Death himself.

As it happens yes, though the two things, as you can see, are unconnected.

Lisa

You gotta stop calling me hun, Mrs Ford the second will start getting jealous ;)

Haven't actually seen Chasing Amy all the way through (and I call myself a fan, I know). It's on the viewing list however.

We live in Billingshurst, West Sussex. No-one usually knows where that is, hence the 'south of Gatwick' thing.

So where are you at the moment if you're not in London?

Well I'm definitely going to be there. I suggest we arrange to meet near the BITS stand/game space and take it from there. Seeing the event has such a late finish, we might all have to bug out early and grab a meal on High Street Ken.

Ok, slowly we'll get there :)

Between doing some work at my folks' in Essex with my Paw, getting ratted in East Dulwich 'village' with friends, tripping up to Manchester and Leeds regularly to see me old mates I used to work with, and chilling out on the south coast anywhere between Lulworth Cove and Brighton... and actually living in sin with me Judy in SW12.... those locations must come close to some of you!

Or am I going to end up hosting everyone cos its easiest for y'all to come into London?

Well Brighton is close to me, but I suspect not anyone else who has expressed an interest. SW London is just as convenient.

I'm happy to travel to run a game as unfortunately, we really don't have space at home to host a gaming session.

- Neil.

Sounds like the game could be chez nous then. We live 1 min 30 seconds walk from Wandsworth Town BR overland station, and 6 mins walk from Balham tube station. We used to live nearer Clapham Junction but house prices went mental so we thought we'd cash in and get somewhere bigger a little farther out. (We moved less than a mile away and got somewhere over twice the size...) We're 2 mins walk from Wandsworth Common so if you're brave we could even LARP it, they have ferocious geese that can be the hunter/gatherer encounters :) (I've always wanted to push somebody into the pond....)

I'm the roleplayer (over 20 years, man and boy) but Judy has never seen an RPG in action. On my way to ECTS this year we quickly popped in at Gencon, and she said they were the geekiest overgrown teenagers she'd ever seen :) I need to get some posh respectable roleplayers round to 'persuade' her otherwise. Hmm. She knows that I've done medieval reenactments etc but as I am a medievalist & used to lecture in it I think she mistakenly thinks its all respectable...

Anyway, we've not long moved in and don't have a spare bed yet, but I'm sure we can accomodate if we all do doggy eyes at her with our heads cocked to one side :) I think Traveller would be an ideal game for her to be exposed to as she 'gets' science fiction a lot more than fantasy. Maybe she'd even play with us, who knows....

For myself and Mrs Ford overnight accomodation would not be needed as we'd have to get back to feed our cats :)

Your location means it's a straight scoot up the A24 for us, which is nice and easy.

So now we just have to wait for Lisa to be back in London!

- Neil.

If I was to be invited along - I live in Nunhead(i.e. a few minutes walk to East Dulwich to get your bearings). By all accounts i'm posh (I went to Cambridge and i'm a barrister - although I would boast about neither!).

Wahey looks like a game is taking shape. Cool a mungos! I'll try an be suitably demure, though I do get a bit over excited, so as the token female I might actually do more harm than good.
I promise not to wear anything to revealing, though I have jus bought these fab black knee length boots that jus scream for me to get into goth mode. :D

Out, Out, OUT!!

(Neil tries to get images of Lisa in black knee length boots out of his head :) )

Lisa, you are a very naughty young women.... how quickly can we get this game organised?

- Neil.

I'm normally a very good girl but if I imbibe a bit to much grape of the vine I undergo a bit of jekyll an hyde kinda thing. So jus don't get me drunk an I'll be fine.
Unless ya like naughty in which case... but I mean
very naughty an I don't think your respective wives, gf's, neighbours, employers, pets, etc, will ever let you play with me ever again.

How quickly? Well its my birthday this weekend (not actually until the 1st of October but I'm out of town mostly during the weekdays). Going to see the Shaolin Monks do their stuff on Saturday, and there's a Surprise on Sunday, but I don't think it was you guys coming over :)

When is everybody available? I can do weekdays days or evenings with a bit of notice. I can just rearrange my work so I'm free in the daytime. But probably for you guys the most convenient times will be evenings & weekends, right?

Do we have someone with something ready to run? I fancy playing as I'm usually refereeing all the time. I don't have any GURPS Traveller stuff, I have Classic, Megatrav, and New Era only. I'll be happy to run some T20 when it has come out, so that'll be the start of November probably. Maybe we should meet up for a drink beforehand & get acquainted, watch some old reruns of Blake's Seven or whatever :) I have a bunch of Farscapes and UFO on DVD....

Oh, and its a non-smoking house, which just means if you want a puff you have to step outside the French doors.... plenty of wine in the basement though :)

Have a great birthday!

Weekends are best for me. Too many clients vying for my time during the week and an unpredictability over my availability during the evening. I do my dammedest not to work weekends.

I have so T20 ideas that I'd like to run through in time for Dragonmeet, so if people don't mind being playtesters, I'd be more than happy to be the referee. Obviously for now it would be built around T@0 Lite and the available classes, but if we get it off the ground I'd be happy for people to make changes once the full book comes out.

Fine by me, I'm a non-smoking person :)
