Type S under goes flight test

"...On Friday, DARPA said in a statement that the searing high speeds caused portions of the Falcon’s skin to peel from the aerostructure. The resulting gaps created strong shock waves around the vehicle as it traveled nearly 13,000 mph, causing it to roll abruptly. ..."

That's what you get when you don't build your hull up to the right rating. They should have read the MegaTraveller rulebook. ;)

Player: 15 million credits for hull armour - come on, that's ridiculous!

Ref: Well, you might be able to get it cheaper .. <roll> .. er, yeah, a deal is available for 5 million, but ..

Player: We'll take it!

Mach 20 in the atmosphere. Ludicrous Speed! :)

I can see 20 years from now jumping on a plane at O'Hare airport in Chicago and flying into Narita airport in Tokyo in about 2 hours. It took 13 hours when I was in the Navy.

That is incredible.
