University - steep enrollment curve?

I'm very new to the T20 arena (I got the book yesterday) and I'm a little frustrated about a few things.

When making the INT check to see if you are admitted into a Bachelors program it says the DC is (22-Edu). What does the Edu stand for?

Also in reference to the DCs. It seems to me that a DC 22 is really high. A character would have to have an 18 intelligence to have even a glimmer of hope. Even if they do get in, the chances of graduating are just as tough and getting honors (DC 28) is impossible for anything less then a god, demi-god or very high level character.

I'm sure I'm missing something, but I cannot figure it out. Can I get an assist from someone?

Thanks.

Samuel

Yes Edu is a stat mandated my T20. It is undoubtably one of the most important in the game.

So the DC is 22-the characters edu stat. Thus if the character has a 12 edu, then the DC for university acceptance is 10 (22-12=10).

Welcome aboard samuelclark7 :D

This one I think I can help with off the top of my head (your Psionic questions will have to wait till I can refresh my memory or someone else comes along).

The DC (22-Edu) refers to calculating the DC by subtracting the characters Education score from the 22. So an average character (with Edu 11 for example) will have a DC (22-11) = DC 11 for the Int check.

Hope that helps

EDIT: Aww, Crashlogic beat me to it, curse my slow typing ;)

Thanks Crashlogic and far trader. Ironically, this solution came to me as I was leaving my apartment for an appointment. This is my first chance to get back to the boards. I probably should have figured it out right off but I've just never seen the DC (22-x) convention till now. It through me off guard.

Thanks to both of you.

Samuel
