Vehicle design spreadsheet

Almost finished with the spreadsheet, but I ran into a few problems that I'm not sure are errata, mistakes on my part, or design alterations. The list is a little long, so bear with me. When I say standard design below, I am referring to the corrected designs.

1) On Percy, Battledress, Jeep, Ground Car, Wheeled ATV, Wheeled AFV, all have off-road speeds in standard design different than what it would calculated in the design section.
2) Battledress holovideo system values for cost, size, and EP's are different than what I calulated from the design section.
3) Cost of olfactory sensors in Percy different from what is listed in design section
4) Battledress has tactile sensors listed twice. The enhanced tactile sensors on the Percy cost twice what is listed in the design section.
5) The range for the cargo jet is 3960km in the standard design, but I calculated 4752km after correcting for airframe configuration.
6) The speeder has fuel tank size listed as 4872vl in the upper block of the standard design, but has 4914vl accounted for in the lower block.
7) There are also various minor deviations in size, cost, and EP's in different designs, which most likely are a result of rounding errors, either in the standard design or in my spreadsheet.
8) I cannot get the submersible to work in my spreadsheet at all, due to having two different drive trains installed, something I'm going to have to think about long and hard before I can get it incorporated into the spreadsheet (if at all).
I'll be sending a copy of the spreadsheet to Falkayn today to look over and critique. If anyone else wants a copy, e-mail me at sandmeier@cavtel.net.

Hello,

Do you have the THB (Traveller Handbook) Errata: Standard Designs. (April 30, 2003)?

If not you can download for free a pdf from the Traveller's wedsite under Electronic Library: Errata

Evening Falkayn;

Two items:

First thank-you for your splendid spreadsheet and second for hosting AaronKohura's spreadsheet.

Unrelated
I completed a spreadsheet on the Computer Design Sequence, bare bones by comparison, which has been submitted to Hunter Gordon about a month ago. See the ones you and AaronKohura have developed makes me hope Hunter asks either of you to redo the spreadsheet. Of course AaronKohura maybe working to improve the design even now since he has a copy.

Anyway, thanks for the spreadsheets and the neat web site.

You're most welcome! It's nice to help out, and it makes the website interesting without me havng to do heaps more work! ;)

I'd love to have a look at it if your or Hunter wants to show it to me, or to host it if it's available from someone else. The T20 Starship Design Spreadsheet is still really an infant compared to what it could do, but it's a labour for love not money.

Hello AaronKohura,

My apologies for forgetting about commenting on your spreadsheet. Okay, what happened is I got sidetracked on another item which resulted in my machine chocking due to having too many applications open at the same time. Okay, back to the real reason for posting. Nice job with the spreadsheet, this and Falkayn's spread were among the items that I had open when my machine choked. 4.5 stars out of 4 since I don't have to create one of my own.

Morning (PDT) Falkayn,

The material is, hopefully, heading your way even as I type this. Included with the spreadsheet are 3 pdf files, 10 page example of using the CDS, 1 blank Computer Data Block, and 1 blank Robot Brain Data Block.
