I was designing some vehicles and discovered a problem.
The table on p. 253 does not seem to be able to come up with the values for SI as they appear on the vehicle blocks.
6000vl(Air Raft) SI=63
Using the table: SI should be 50+((4000/1300)x2.5)=57.7 or 57
8000vl SI=68
50+((6000/1300)x2.5)=61.5 or 61
Biplane is 50SI @ 1000vl
ATV is 75SI @ 10,000vl
Makes me think another table was used before printing. Something like:
250-1000vl Base 25 +2.5 per 175 over 250
1000-10Kvl Base 50 +2.5 per 1000 over 1000
10K-100Kvl Base 75 +2.5 per 10K over 10K
etc...
So is the table wrong or are the vehicle data based on an older pre-publication system?
