Weather Generation Tables?

Far-Trader, while you're here...did you ever discover the existence of "Weather Encounters"? You were querying some time ago for development purposes, and positive results would be great.
Or anyone on the Boards for that matter recall existing tables in the Journal or an adventure for weather generation?

I were? Gosh I hope not or my brain has lost a serious pack of neurons ;) Its possible (both sadly) but I can't honestly say I remember it now. Do you recall whenish and whereish? Might jog the old gray cells to life

To be honest, I have been using the "Search" engine on the boards for the last quarter hour, and I believe I found you somewhere in...2003?
 My gosh! Does that mean you're...you're a...a time Traveller??!

Oops. There you go. Sorry, far-trader. It was Trader Jim in 2002...Scout Surveys...weather...in the library...with the candlestick.
Now who's grey matter is waning?
However, have you seen any tables lately?

Ah well, that's a relief
Wait! WHAT!? You mistook me for TJ!?!?! Quick, get me outta here! No, get me the media I want to report this case of mistaken identity before it becomes terminal!

Hmm, not sure what I've done with it but there was one a pretty good set of tables in (iirc) Dragon Magazine ages ago that I used in many different RPG's. I think I even hacked together a little program using it as the model in Apple Basic on my brand new (then ;) ) Apple IIc

Dragon. Hoom, ha. Thanks for the tip. Another avenue of search.
Terribly sorry for the faux pax. So many Traders, how does the Port Authority keep their sanity?
I'll come back to see if there are any developments; but meanwhile I think I try to find me a dragon...

Digging through the archives is good, I'm not sure how I missed that topic the first time but TJ will be happy to see it revived, at least in part.

A quick google found a couple of potential sites, can't check them at the moment as I'm on the Mac and they are both Windows.

One is freeware, on This Page.

The other is listed as shareware/beta-ware but seems to be an old page, Look Here.

Naturally they are both for D&D but the first seems to be based on the model I used (I just added some natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, solar storms, etc.), and the second lets you input season and terrain which can simulate world types with a little imagination.

No sweat, as for the SPA, well lets just say that confusing them is a major past-time and enjoyable hobby for all us merchants

Good luck with the Dragon hunting ;)

The "This Page" is a new-to-me. I found the "Look Here" page, and think that's rather a useful page for all. But you're right. So terrestrial, so dungeony ( ), so earth-like that it's aggravating. Oh well. Some research and fabrication are in order.
Remember pictures of Triton? A little more sunlight reaches the outer system and you get geysers on a frozen moon. That's the type of weather we need to be able to generate in Traveller.
