Who was the author of the Traveller Atlas website? It looks like they cleverly extrapolated "new" battleship classes from the FFW counters:

the only problem with extrapolating classes from ffw is some of these may be "half" squadron stat's (obverse damaged counters). for instance a 6-2-8 counter has a damaged stat of 3-2-4. Does this make a 3-2-4 counter a new class or a half squadron?

The High Guard 3 draft also quotes: "When a battleship meets any lesser type of ship, its victory is almost guaranteed." It also mentions the line about their secondary defenses to deflect smallcraft and missiles, and also their bulk to absorb (other types of) damage.

This fits into my view that HG was trending towards the Imperium game model of ship type interaction.
