White Dwarf Missile Rules

During a discussion on FB about the Leviathan the oddities of that book came up. One of the big issues is that it was written by the Games Workshop crowd and used their assumption about certain things, noticeably Missiles.

Have any of y'all ever used Expanded Universe Missile rules?

I kinda like the larger mass and size assumed by those rules.

Also Note this is dredging up stuff from the 1st edition of CT era of thought.

Well that's' quite an eyeful. Thanks for the links.

In one sense, deals exactly with both the ridiculous performance of the 50kg missile AND gives it the speed I think it needs to be a worthwhile weapon.

But from a combat space use perspective it's horrible, especially with the 'free' anti-missile shot and ECM with CT rules.

At the very least I would insist on the relative vee damage and evasion/smart rules from SS3.

I keep reading it and then SS3, and ponder a re-write of SS3 into larger faster missiles... Though to be honest with my current limits on ships in my game 6 missiles are plenty fast.
