Sweet. The players have pulled this poll around.
Maybe they were busy playing the game while some of us were online answering the poll.

Yes but .......

We are using CT, but the campaign is Stargate. All we needed to do was add a few weapons and modify the charactor generation a little. Works just fine.

Yippee!! Yes!

A month ago (or the previous 15+ years) I would have had to say NO. But, thanks to Far-Trader's CT PbP, I can say, YES, I am once again playing one of my absolute favorite RPGs. :)

I voted No only because I ended my most recent Traveller T20 game last month after a nice 2.5 year run. :)

After I get over burnout, and can fix my schedule somewhat, I'm sure I'll be right back at it.

With Regards,
Flynn

Not currently playing. Excuses? How many can you think of?

- Can't find players.
- Spouse working on Master's degree and needs to study in quiet.
- My dice don't like me any more.
- Warhammer players complain about the noise level when we play Traveller.
- Local game store closed.
- Dining room table has been appropriated for dining (?!!).
- Arrested for carrying an unlicensed FGMP through baggage check.
- It's more fun to play AD&D with the voices in my head.

(This may deserve its own thread: "101 Excuses as to why you aren't currently playing Traveller.")

Anybody remember the Game Keeper in Campbell, CA?
I started playing Traveller with a gang of people there back in 78 or 79.

Anyway, I'm running a CT campaign right now, it's awesome and people are having a blast.:)

The last time I got to play was over a year ago in a Gurps Traveller game. If anyone lives near the Harrisburg, PA area, I'm looking for a Trav group.

I'm currently GMing the Terra Incognita online campaign. Nearly 2 years now.

Started the campaign in September/October 2005, roughly about the same time when I first participated in these COTI forums. Been quite a successful campaign. I don't even have to beg for players any more (which is usually the case when campaigns start new). I have enough committed players.

If any of you are going to Gen Con Indy next week, I am running three Traveller games, if you are interested in joining us. :)

(CT rules, 1248 setting)

Looking Forward To It,
Flynn

Glad to see I'm not the only one. When I look at the ratio of how much I played from 79 to about 86, compared to the scant opportunities since 86, one might say it is non-existant (so few times in that 21 years that it is almost zero). But I answered "yes" because there is an unfinished campaign that I am a player in that my ref has tried to work out how to play via email, and we're meeting tomorrow to discuss how to continue...so technically, I am still playing.
But the thing that really made me feel better, was hearing that I am not the only one that buys Traveller materials even when there is little or no chance of actually playing again. I love Classic Traveller (and I like many of the MT suppliments too).
Been looking for a specific resource book on Aslan for years and haven't found the exact one I want. The only way I can identify it is by a single page I still have a copy of. It was a Digest Group item, and it has a sketch on one page of an Aslan sitting cross-legged in meditation.

Aslan & Solomani

Ahhh, that would be Solomani & Aslan (AKA Rats & Cats)? For MT?

Let me find mine (got it off eBay), and see if that's what you're looking for.

There's a picture of the cover here.

I had to vote no, unfortunately, because right here and now I am not playing. However...after a long absence from here and a long stint in stasis gaming wise in general (I got clocked by a car while in a crosswalk and it's taken a bit to get myself back together), we're set to start a game this fall. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

No, but only because I've only just bought Classic Traveller for the very first time and my regular gaming group is on the other side of the country.

I'll probably be playing Solitaire within the next few days, though.
