Why not Regina?

First off, let me say that I am in no way slagging choices made in The Traveller Adventure (TTA) but something popped into my head the other day. Instead of Aramis, why wasn't Regina subsector used for TTA? It had certainly gotten attention before, as in Supp 3, although not to any sizeable level of detail. I guess GDW could be said to be branching out but why not use the "flagship" subsector?

Just thinking out loud . . .

I'm always surprised that no one ever made a Regina Subsector Campaign at all. There are so many interesting things and adventures in the Subsector.

Kinunir is the short campaign for Regina, and the SotA chain spends a fair amount of time there.

Regina subsector is also pretty diffuse compared to the big cluster in Aramis. Aramis is largely self-contained, while half of Regina is on the Spinward Main, making a campaign harder to contain in the subsector.

maybe you could run a game there, here. ... here, there. or something.

Once Upon a Time, Mark Harrison set his campaign-cum-comic there.

It was all quite silly, but I was struck in particular by two things: 1) Characters could rent (ahem, "hire") an air/raft at the spaceport much like air travelers can rent a car today -- this saves the PCs having to haul one of their own around in their ship and waste valuable hold space, and 2) the idea of Regina as basically Los Angeles in Blade Runner really appealed to me -- and still does.
