Following the announcements of the updates to the T5 Second Survey data as posted to TravellerMap, I felt it was time to update the Trade maps.
The Nroute.c code, while functional, is getting long in the tooth. I rewrote the process from the ground up, in PyRoute, putting the source into github and in open source.
This new version of the trade route generation, written in python, reads the new T5 Second Survey data formats, produces more data, including passenger traffic, starport sizes, army sizes, and more detailed data about trade and trade routes.
So with the Trade Map update project, This data is being pushed into the Wiki for everyone to enjoy. I've started with the Spinward Marches.
Specific Changes are:
The project will continue to update the remaining 131 sectors with charted data. The remaining Imperial sectors are first on the list, and I'll update this message when this is complete. And I'll do further updates as time continues.
Questions or feedback are always welcome.
