Will Mongoose Traveller Go On?

Narl

SOC-8
After reading T5, I've concluded it is not for me. Now that it is released, will Mongoose continue to publish Third Imperium and rules stuff for Traveller? I need to make a decision on whether to go with MGT or CT.

Of course they'll keep on working with Traveller! The economics and setup is beneficial to both Mongoose and FFE.

Honestly I believe they might focus on other cross over campaigns directions and it seems Traveller 2300 at least for this year is their main push. Now they have done a pretty good job so far with Traveller materials, so what ever they do they do it pretty well.

The guy who runs Mongoose just posted a poll question asking us what we wanted next...

I run Mongoose?!? :eek:o: *Looks around* I'm on the wrong continent I think. ;) :p

Seriously though, I'm not the Traveller license holder, but I do make awesome stuff for Traveller and I am making more.

Thanks. I just voted for more stuff. Not too terribly interested in Foreven or fantasy settings.

Thank you for voting. :D

I've been watching my Traveller sales very closely since T5's release. Short of the long, I have seen my Traveller sales increase since then. And I haven't done anything serious for Traveller in a while. However, I am working on something more serious now. I believe that T5's (shall we say) less than stellar reception has actually helped MGT. But that's just my own take on the situation.

Matt has listed books he has in the works for Mongoose Traveller. And he's looking for writers who have ideas for publishing new content in addition to the regular module book conversions being done for Mongoose.

Even after the Mongoose Traveller license expires (which could be a decade away) ... with the Traveller SRD and the TSR OGL, I suspect that Mongoose Traveller will last as long as AD&D has ... even if it survives as a OSRIC/Pathfinder-like generic 'Traveller' (golden age of space opera) game.

The OGL is WotC, not TSR. TSR does not exist anymore.

I know, I know, I nitpick.

Yep. The best present ever from Marc & Matt. :)
